Isaiah & Sadie

[continued from the guild...]

Following suit, Isaiah leaped off the couch, his tail curling behind him. With a second, less enthusiastic stretch, he ran his tongue over his chest to smooth down any stray hairs before beginning idly towards the exit.

Turning to Sadie, he allowed his smile to tug slightly at his white lips before speaking. "So," he began, pausing to toss his bangs out of his face, "what was life like on Mystery Island? Other than the surfing and tourists, that is..." He was genuinely curious, having only left Anathema once to visit the city for a week.

Listening with undivided attention, his eyes lit up as a flurry of images raced through his mind. The way she described her home gave him the idea that it was pretty much just like the city, just without the concrete, the metal and the traffic. As the two made their way back to the beach, Isaiah allowed his gaze to drift over the deserted beach front. It seemed skeletal compared to what it once was... what he could remember of it, at least. Turning back to his companion, he nodded in reply to her question. "Yeah, I went with Moon, a friend of mine, a while back... It's really not that great." Pausing, he let the memories flood over him for a moent before adding, "The dance clubs are pretty great, though."

Dancing, drinking, and eating... He liked the sound of that. "You know," he began, scouring the stretch of white sand before the two, "we used to have bonfires here. We would all get drunk and dance all though the night." It was a funny idea, if not a real memory. He'd only heard stories from his mother of how the island was in the old days, back in the leadership of Jeremiah. He could only wish he'd been alive back then.

Lost in thought for only a moment, he was caught off guard by her sudden touch. Meeting her eyes with his own, he let his smirk soften into a smile, his ears flicking to the sides. "Of course I will, hun. You've really never been there?" He questioned, wrinkling his nose in slight amusment.

Isaiah, too, was curious of the kougress's age, though felt it best not to ask. He already felt guilty enough for having kissed his own blood relative, but if she were to tell him that she was hardly more than a cub, well, he would just feel awful. Still, she was attractive to say the least, and held conversation well, so he found no reason to break the ties. Chuckling at her strong desire to visit the city, Isaiah tilted his head in a half-nod. "Alright then, we'll definantly have to go sometime." Smirking, he rolled his shoulders backwards, cracking the joints with an audible 'pop'. "You mean start up the drunk dancing and bonfires?" he asked, arching a brow, his smirk extending. "I'd love to." The mischievous glint in his otherwise dark eyes proved that he was serious.

ooc. It's no problem. =) Thanks! The front legs are kind of weirddd, but that's what I get for spending a total of five minutes on it.

ic. With his tail curling behind him, Isaiah padded beside her, his strides slightly longer than hers. Turning to face her, smirked at the suggestion, using a forepaw to push his bangs out of his line of vision in order to meet her gaze. "We should make a bonfire," he agreed, the idea striking him much more positively than merely wandering the empty beach. But before he could voice his suggestions on where to start the fire, Sadie had raced off towards the ocean. Laughing to himself at her spontaneity, he took hardly a second in preperation, leaning back only to spring forward in a powerful leap, bounding after the kougress with equal speed, if not faster.

Her laughter mingled with his own, announcing to all who cared to listen that the two were enjoying themselves. "Do you really think I'd let you win?" He panted, "there's no wa-" Before he could finish his sentance, though, he found himself being pushed to the ground. His suprise silenced him for a moment, but when he realized just what had happened, he grinned, his fangs shining against the moon's glare. "No fair." He joked, reaching up with his heavy, white forepaws and pulling Sadie down on top of him. A soft, playful growl was offered through his parted jaws, his dark eyes falling over her features.

I'll be right back; Dinner's ready.

He smirked, reaching over and running his claws gently through her headfur. She was such a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the younger kougresses on the island... She wasn't completely superficial and obsessed with her image; she was just real. "A secret attack? How completely maniacal," He purred, shifting his position in order to face her better. "It certainly worked, though," Laughing softly, he leaned forward, placing a soft peck against her lips. "You know, if you'd played fair, I would have left you in the dust."

His lips parted in a smile in response to her light kiss, his ears lowering slightly in affection. Deciding against responding to her comment, he instead let the mock argument go, touching his nose to hers. "So, since we can't decide on who would have won our intense little race," he began, extending his chest in an awkward stretch, "why don't we do something?" Propping his weight up on a single elbow, he looked to her, his dark eyes lit up, reflecting the moonlight just as it faded behind a cloud.

Taking her paw, he eyed her almost suspiciously, though playfuly so. Did she know about his alphaship? He hadn't said anything (suprisingly enough)... Shrugging the matter off, he pulled himself to his paws, bumping his hips flirtaciously into hers. "I'm pretty hungry myself," he admitted, his tail flicking and curling behind him as he fell forward in a feline-like stretch, parting his jaws in a yawn before standing up. "Was there something you had in mind, foodwise?" He asked, flicking his bangs out of his face.

Smirking as she shoved him, he perked his ears, leaning his head to eye her through his peripherals. It had been a while since he'd enjoyed himself with a kougress like this without having to resort to sex. "Pizza?" He repeated, thinking back to when he'd visited the city. After a moment, the memory of the circular, cheesey food came back to him and he shook his head, causing stray hairs to fall across his face. "I don't think we've got that here... But if you want, I can make you a sandwich or something?" He offered, his brows arching in question. "I've got bread and cheese and stuff back at my hut."

Isaiah smiled at her enhusiasm, happy that she wasn't upset with him for the island's lack of pizza. Curling his tail against hers, he began in the familiar direction of the cluster of huts, glancing to his companion after a moment. He didn't say anything, instead he watched her follow, watched the way she moved, how her paws sunk into the cool sand with each step. Finally, as though he'd read her mind, he spoke up, "So, did your brother come here with you?" he asked, remembering back to his first encounter with the male cub. It hadn't been pleasant.
